My project is to write a program that can be used to train the user to use less sexist language by suggesting alternative versions of sentences given by the user. The program will ask for a sentence, read the sentence into a string variable, and replace all occurenced of masculine pronouns with gender neutral pronouns.
For example it will replace "he" by "she or he". Thus the input sentence
---See an advisor, talk to her or him, and listen to her or him.
should produce the following sentence
See an advisor, talk to her or him, and listen to her or him.
Allow sentences to be up to 100 characters long.
The catch is that I will turn in two programs:
??" One with the “old C-style strings?? (a nullterminated
??" One with the “new C++ style strings?? (an object of
the class “string??)
• Both programs will do exactly the same thing.
The goal: get you familiar with both types of
strings, learn advantages & disadvantages
