The aim of the project is to be able to open an ".iv" file and map user specified texture(s) on to all faces of the objects in the scene. The objects are 3 dimensional. The tools to be used are Open Inventor 4.0 and VC++ 6.0.
The ".iv" files will conatin objects made using indexed face sets. All the objects will have irregular shapes. For example the object may be an triangular prism, or an octahedron or a terrain surface.
1. An application that can map the textures on to all the faces of the object(s) in the scene. The textures should not be distorted.
2. The source code of the application that does the above texture mapping.
