UPDATE: Bidding deadline shortened to Jan 20th. SO kany good bids are coming in that we want to make a decision earlier. Sorry for the change. UPDATE: The specification is completed and we have notified accepted bids of the requirements to receive the specification. If you feel that we have not responded to you (postively or negatively) please post a comment so I can get you feedback. ----- We need a Windows Port Monitor developed. This Port Monitor will do the following: A) Be installable against any print driver on Windows 98/2000/XP B) 'Hold' the print job, communicate via XML with a server on the local network, prompt the user for additional information, transmit that to the server and recieve back the 'continue print' or 'cancel' print event. C) If cancel print delete the job with a warning to the user D) If 'continue print', pass to the printer for output. E) All server software will be developed by another party and we will provide XML (or modify our XML to your flavor of XML) for this application. F) We will provide DETAILED specifications including full UI and workflow. There will be no 'what does this do' with our project, it will all be 100% defined by professional program managers. As you can see by our bid amount, we are serious in getting this developed in a timely (30 day schedule starting in Febuary) fashion. There will be ongoing work for the developer involved as feature requests, bug fixes and new platforms are brought into the mix. We see this as the first step in a long term contracting relationship with an individual developer or a development firm.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site).
Windws 98/2000/XP are the platforms we require compatibility with in a single installer package for all platforms.
