Delphi code for an Outlook message exporter This delphi code should function as a standalone exe. The code should be modular,allowing it to be included in an existing delphi exe. The exporter should have two menu options. 1. Bulk Folder Export. 2. Export Message. Bulk Export: Allow the user to select one or more Outlook folders and export ALL messages in these folders into xml files. Export Message: This option should only be visible while viewing a message, or when one or more messages are highlighted. This option will allow the user to export the message to xml. On export, the user will be prompted for a destination folder, on first run, this will be blank, subsequent runs will default to last valude entered. Versions of Outlook to be supported: Outlook 2000, and newer, Outlook Express. Program must be able to detect which version of outlook is installed. if no version is installed, should exit gracefully. The user must be able to configure the folder to which the xml files will be written. xml format: 1. The format of the xml fields will initially be defined by the developer. 2. All message headers are to be stored. 3. The names of fields must be easy to configure in the delivered delphi source. 4. Fields must include folder that message was exported from and the time of the export. 5. message attachments are to be identified in the exported xml together with original attachment name. Attachments. any attachments in messages being exported must be extracted from the message and stored in the folder "attachments" within the destination folder for the export. attachment names must not be allowed to overwrite previous attachments. developer has some discretion here on the mechanism to be used. Future Addin. For this module, a stand alone delphi executable is required. The developer will be asked to convert the message export functionality into an Outlook Addin in a separate project.
