My skill level:
I have several "intermediate" level client/server applications written using Delphi 7, MIDAS.
I want to build my next generation client server apps using the RealThinClient SDK (RTC SDK) ([url removed, login to view]). The applications will be MS Windows .Exe "Rich" clients, communicating with a ISAPI DLL via the RealThinClient components. The ISAPI DLL must work with Apache and IIS, via port 80 or 443.
What I need:
I need a tutor. Some one who is experienced in building applications with the RealThinClient components, within Delphi 7, who can explain, in real time, the purpose and functions, and "best practices" of building said applications with said component set. You will also need some knowledge about Apache and IIS setup, to allow ISAP DLLs to run.
What I propose:
We connect via Skype, to provide voice communication, in real time.
I load up RTC Host, and you load up RTC Viewer so you can watch what I'm doing. You verbally walk me through the process of building an example application.
About 2 to 4 hours of your time. (If we both agree, we can extend it a bit and of course I'll increase payment from original deal). Also, I need 2 or 3 working examples, that I have built, on my own, with your help. I actually don't need you to do any coding at all. I will do it all, and you will explain, guide, teach, and watch me, so that I end up doing it myself, successfully.
Sufficient knowledge in my head about how to build my future apps with RTC SDK.
I only speak English (Canada), and I need verbal instruction. I have a "united nations" of current employees, so I can handle several different "thick" accents, but there is a limit. We need to communicate easily, or else my time estimate is way out of wack. If we can't commuicate, it will be a "no go".
Please disregard the para: "Project Parts" that says that you will take the requirements and translate them in the language of the computer". The RentACoder website required that I check a box to go to the next step, so I checked that box. (I probably picked the wrong work category to begin with, but, hey, this is my very first time at using RentACoder). The "Legal" para, I just kept "as is" but, probably the whole thing isn't necessary since you are doing tutoring only, and not coding)
