We are looking for a (somewhat) straightforward application to be developed for the Android mobile platform.
The fancy finishing work does not need to be done; ? we're basically looking for the bare bones of this application. ? We will supply the actual flight tracking API as a Java package; the documentation can be found at [url removed, login to view]
We are looking for a bare-bones flight tracking application for the Android mobile platform. ? You build the framework and make it work, and we'll make it look fancy.
The program should allow the user to enter a flight ID, destination, or airport ID, and then hit a "Search" button.
The following page should provide a table-view text listing of matching flights. ? From there, the user should be able to select a single flight, and the app should then plot the aircraft's location and flight path on a map. ? The built-in Google Maps app will be adequate, but we'd prefer that you use an existing map library that allows the use of third-party map overlays (OM Droid or what have you).
The best part about this is that we will supply the Java API interface for the flight data - the documentation can be found at [url removed, login to view]
So technically, the app development becomes trivial.
