To Internet Service Providers, there are programs available such as [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view] that are called internet accelerators: file compression routines that compress on the server side and decompress on the client side.
As an ISP, we would like a coder to write a routine that will run on a linux server (preferred) or Windows server to compress and cache web pages and a small application that will install on Windows 98, Me, 2K or XP platform to decompress the data and display it in the user's browser.
Ongoing upgrades and improvements are part of the deal. Please bid only if you are confident that you can complete the project. Source code becomes our property and programmer must not resell to others.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
