Creating a real world database (Ex. bank, accounting system, hospital etc.)
1) Define a set of entities and appropriate attributes for each entity (minimum 10 entities)
Define a set of relationships that might exist b/w entities and attributes(one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-many)
Define a set of constraints that may be imposed on data
2)Define a E-R diagram and a relational scheme for the database
3)Dfine 1 or more realistic keys for every relation scheme, using both simple and composite keys
4)define a realistic set of Functional/Multi-Valued Dependencies(when appropriate) for every relation scheme
5)check whether ur relational scheme is in 2NF, 3NF, BCNF, 4NF
6)put the relational schema in the highest normal form that is possible
plz provide a detailed explaination for every step when appropriate
Creating the SQL queries: for each query provide the SQL statements along with the output ( using oracle)
Select: involving one/more conditions in WhereClause select with aggregate functions( SUM,MIN,MAX, AVG, COUNT), select with Having, Group By, Order By clause, Nested Select, and the union operation
Insert:one tuple into a table, insert a set of tuples (by using another select)
Delete: delete one tuple or a set of tuples
Create View: based on one relation and more than one relation, operate on View(i.e. select, insert, delete, update...)
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
