I need someone to trackdown and fix an "Network Error (dns_unresolved_hostname)" problem we're having on our website, ArizonaTools.com. This problem started yesterday and is producing intermitent errors. After a few minutes, the website is viewable again. This site has been online for several years, and the Domain Name is registered until 2012.
I've already had our Webmaster look at this problem but, he couldn't figure it out. The server is running, etc, and TraceRT works fine.
So, to be considered for this task, you must be highly experienced. I'll only pay if you definitively determine and 'fix' the problem. I also request that you reside in USA or Canada. Since access to our website may be required, and I'd like to speak with you by phone. Payment can be by check, PayPal, or any other method you wish.
If you are really good at DNS/server issues, please call me directly (since this is a Bulletin Board ad, it's OK). I want to resolve this problem quickly.
1) I will only pay if you actually 'fix' the problem, or directly contribute to its repair. In other words, if you can't 'fix' it directly, then you are expected to provide me with explicit details which I can contact the party responsible (like a server farm, etc.) and get them to fix it. If so, I would require the contact phone, and explicit directions which would result in the repair.
2) Vague advise, or 'maybe it could be ...." will not be acceptable. Your involvement MUST lead to, or directly contribute to, the final 'fix'. I will not pay for incomplete advise.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
Our server is running Linux, w/Apache. The site uses PHP.
