I need an EXCEL utility that can provide the total Character count for various sheets including text boxes if any. In an opened Excel data file, I can choose, one cell, one or multiple rows, one or multiple columns, or the whole sheet (default) or multiple sheets with options like including text boxes.
This is required for our biulling purposes wher we are paid by the number of characters entered. I prefer to invoke the utility both inside Excel after the application is opened and alternatively to run outside Excel where an Excel file name is specified. I should then be abloe to run the program on a number of excel files in the directory in a batch mode with proper results displayed in a report file.
Report should be generated showing the Sheets (names) The total number of characters for each sheet, the number of columns and rows that are used anywhere, number of text boxes and breakdown of number of characters in the text boxes as opposed to rows and columns.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
