Software and hardware designs for eight port Frequency Counter.
The system will consist of a PIC Microcontroller which will report the number of state changes of each of eight data line inputs. The accumulated input state change counters are thus reporting input frequency directly. Frequency is state changes / 2.
The processor must have a resoulution of 4 Hz to 60 kHz for all eight data line inputs.
Each 300 ms all eight 16-bit counters will be transmitted on the USART in the following ASCII format.
All numbers will be whole numbers only and for values less than 4 will be reported as zero. For values greater than 60 kHz will be reported as 60,000. After reporting the number (Frequency) the counters will be zeroed.
The inputs are unipolar sign waves, with amplitudes of 0 to 45 volts.
The PIC18F1320 is the suggested Microcontroller, but recommendations will be considered that can meet the base requirments.
Circuit diagrams can be provided in any graphic format, or in Eagle 3 design files.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
