I'm currently on a VPS Server with 1gb dedicated ram (just for me) and burstable to 2gb. I have a huge database (one table in INNODB while other in MyISAM), with about 200,000 records (was more before serever crashed and I had to restore an older backup) Problems: - When left a longtime without restarting, the server starts to really slow down, pages load from usually .5 seconds to 30 seconds+++. - When in PHP MY Admin and trying to browse all records it shows one time "Showing rows 0 - 229 (94,931 total, Query took 0.0125 sec)" "Showing rows 0 - 229 (25,251 total, Query took 0.0092 sec)" "Showing rows 0 - 229 (102,974 total, Query took 0.0087 sec)" for same table, always different number. Solutions Tried: - Turning off all the functions that required grabbing lots of rows from mysql at once. - upgrading ram - setting a restart server function every couple min (very cheap way to fix) Need help to fix this, to have a smooth running server. I prefer to have myself get directions how to fix it, as I cannot afford to lose data on the server for the company. If you give me a valid fix and server still keeps working after 5 days min and 10 days max at optimal I will release funds.
