I am creating a tracking and invoicing database for a small school. A problem has come up with a command button I placed on a form, with a SQL macro to pull a specific record from the underlying table when the button is clicked. This is to view an invoice for the record being displayed on the form. It is working and will display my invoice (the report is in very rough form right now), but (1) the totals are wrong. I believe there is a problem with my query and I can't figure it out. The database has two aspects... students who attend classes and need to pay for those classes, and companies that we need to put into the database and somehow connect through a field to the student section... I am specifically hoping to be able to click a checkbox or something that will block a student invoice from coming up perhaps with a popup message that refers you to bill the company. Then I need to set up the company to pull a bill for a student based on that student SSN. I will be "finishing it off" with better color schemes, reports, and a full switchboard when complete... that part I can handle.
I need this FAST, and hope my instincts are correct and this is a quick fix for someone more experienced. I am ready to pay whatever is fair for the work...
