I would like someone to write the necessary .htaccess file to allow our search engine (Find UK - [url removed, login to view]) to recognise "search engine friendly" URLs.
For instance: We wish to provide direct links to top searches from our homepage in the format [url removed, login to view]+socks (or something similar avoiding the '?' if possible) rather than [url removed, login to view]+socks&submit=+++Find+++
(obviously the phrase "purple socks" is just an example :-)
We shall provide all access required to test, but the testing must not disrupt the functioning of the live website.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as an explanation of the code used so that we may easily follow the example and use a modified form for our directory at a later date. 2) Full installation instructions 3) The .htaccess file must not prevent the contents of existing .htaccess files from functioning. 4) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Must work on our Apache webspace (module does exist!).
