I currently have a working web based email client that pulls in email from my sites email server, stores it in a database and then shows the email(s) tp the appropriate user.
This is a script that was writen for me recently and works well except for one thing which is that any email that contains a picture or other item that is not plain text, loses the body of the email during the transfer between the email server and storing it on my site. When displayed, the email is blank.
What I require is someone to modify the existing code so that any suitable objects contained within an email (e.g. a picture or pictures) is either displayed in the body of that email along with any text sent or that the object(s) is extracted from the body of the mail and saved as an attachment to the mail. Currently the email client I have is not able to display HTML based mail (which could, of course, be the problem). I do not require the email client to be able to display HTML but will accept that if it is considered the easiest way to implement the required fix.
I would imagine that the modifications required would be relatively small since the email client is fundamentally working. This work should really have been part of the debugging process by the coder so I guess that's the way to look at it.
Please be aware that this modification will be carried out on a live working site and so the utmost care will be needed in applying the fix.
