We would like to create a password protected area of the [url removed, login to view] site that would contain a database of personal information on KBD (Kappa Bata Delta Honor Society) members (see below information sheet). Currently we have about 60 members. Our purpose will be to enable KBD members to network themselves into desirable employment positions. We will provide a list of members and initially assign them UserID’s and Passwords. We would like them to be able to change their UserID’s and Passwords to suit their own preferences. However, we will need administrative control. There should be a process in place that will allow members to obtain their UserID and Password if they forgot them.
The database needs to be searchable and a report needs to be generated on each search, i.e., a search for “Employer?? would generate a list of all members currently employed by that Employer (Pfizer, or whatever). Also I would like to be able to search for member eMail addresses and be able to cut and paste the result into a broadcast eMail.
The information contained in the database must be updateable by individual members. Of course, only the actual member can update their information or those with administrative privileges. Also, members should be able to opt-in or opt-out at their will. Possibly they could opt to make their information visible or not.
