I have source code for an embedded project. The code is in C and was written for the Atmel ARM7 processor. I want the code converted to run on a MicroChip PIC18F2620 MPU. Some functionality of the code will need to be sacrificed because of the program memory size and number of I/O pins on the 18F2620 when compared to the ARM7.
The hardware is currently in production using a PIC16F876A MPU. However, no source code for the 16F876A program is available. Portions of the 16F876A code has been reproduced in Assembly language.
The ARM7 code is licensed under the GNU Open Source license so no violation of intellectual property rights is involved.
Bidders should have a good working knowledge of the C language as it applies to the MicroChip line of MPUs.
Hardware for testing will be provided as needed. Complete hardware project is less than 2 pounds so shipping to anywhere in the world should be no problem.
