This would not be just an overhaul but a complete new site and backend. It will not be possible to integrate the new site/backend/management system with the old one. Our current site is based in the UK but we have customers all over the world. We want to keep the look and feel of the current website but make it more tidy and easier to navigate with a much easier to use shopping basket. We want to keep our current payment system but also add paypal payment. The website should be able to inform customers on the product status depending upon stock and stock on purchase order i.e. Sold out and Cannot get more, Sold out but more on order, Not yet arrived, Pre-sold out etc. Shipping costs need to be worked out for the customer dependent on both the weight of products selected and the value of the order It should be capable of giving shipping costs from royal mail and UPS automatically. Website customers should be able to view the status of the order and able to track their order on the royal mail and ups websites. The site would also need to be able to convert prices based on the current exchange rate. The current site is linked to our shop tills so the new database will need to include a new 'till' (basically a web page made to look like a till). The same database is used by the shops and the websites. The current sql database is outside of our control but we can get regular 'data dumps.' Extra fields will need to be added to enable the new website to be much more searchable. The current data will need to be tidied up and moved into the new database. The new site must be written as much for the search engines as for the end user. MORE INFO IN ZIP FILE - WORD DOC
