We're looking for a unified shipping cost/rate calculation class that can be submitted to PEAR, similar to their payment processing class: [url removed, login to view] It should be completely modular, so its easy to add additional modules to connect to other shipping companies. For now though, we would like it to connect to UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL and Canada Post in real-time to obtain exact shipping costs and get tracking information. We would like to keep it relatively simple for now, so if it just obtained shipping rates that is fine. Here is an example of what the classes _might_ look like: Services_Shipping_Rates, Services_Shipping_Rates_UPS, Services_Shipping_Rates_FedEx, Services_Shipping_Rates_Aggregate, (used to obtain rates from more then one service at the same time, to obtain the cheapest/quickest company.) The class should adhere to all PEAR coding standards, and use other PEAR classes as dependencies for things like XML parsing, SOAP (preferred method if possible) and/or generic HTTP_Request/Net_CURL. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
