Looking for a knowledgeable php programmer with experience using the wordpress blogging engine. The goal of the project is to develop a custom wordpress theme including templates to act as a Content Management System (CMS) for a public web presence. The candidate will be responsible for writing wordpress templates to organize, layout and style the blog to act as public website. The candidate should have an understanding of the wordpress engine internals, plugins usage, and ability to create new plugins if needed. Posts will need to be organized so key areas of the site can be accessed through non standard permalink urls. For example: News postings should be accessible via /news/2007/05/20/Post-Title while client portfolios should be accessible via /clients/Client-A. The template will need to accommodate new postings to handle an updating client portfolio, case studies, news postings, and event postings. CSS experience is required to layout the pages according to web standards so the site is viewable from cross browsers. Candidate will not be responsible for any graphic design, color schemes, or other "creative content". A layout and design will be provided and the candidate will have to translate the given layout and style into php, html, and css code.
