I am working on a project for the PPC, and it is a web-based application that seems to run just great on a regular browser.
The application requires authentication in order to use, and the login screen is perfectly resized to fit the PPC, but once you authenticate the screens get a lot of left to right and up and down scrolling. The login sceen has an image on it, and I noticed that their are no height and width attributes to the <IMG> tag and that page loads fine on the PPC. But the next page after login, and all the others do not load fine. They have way too much scrolling. I noticed on these pages that the height and width attributes have been hard-coded into the page which brings me to my questions:
1.) Is there a reason a developer would hard-code <IMG> attributes such as height and width?
2.) Is there some sort of <META> that needs to be on each page in order for the server to know users are requesting from a PPC?
All help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
This is running on Windows 2000 Server, IIS, and PPC IE browser.
