To automate the back office of an international resin trading business (apprx vol. $30MM/yr). Currently a very manual process with each export document being created manually in a work document rather than from a data base of info for each transaction, customer and vendor.
We will each each of the 8 or 9 export documents currenly in MS Word converted to an input screen in a Sequel enviroment. (our version) so that at the data is being input from the source documents it is going into a data base. As the documents go from one to the next the same data in many cases keeps getting populated in the fields of the new documents in the string.
In essence the program creates a virtual inventory for this division which captures data like inventory being purchased and allocated to a customer, purchased and unallocated, shipped but not billed etc.
At any point in the process the user must be able to print our the completed document.
Once the big data table has been complete there are a few simple reports that we will need extracting the data that has been input.
The export manager and I have but together a detail spec/workflow diagram and chart which should allow the programmer to walk thru each form, data input and report required in the system. We are perfectly willing to enhance it or answer specific questions to a credible programmer interested in the project. The programmer should have this PDF file before bidding on the job.
I attached on file which is the excel table of data and field and other notes, but could not attach the work docs that are required because the web- site only allowed one attached. serious bidders should be reuqest this !!
