The goal is to implement an IE toolbar with some basic functionalities which follows. Most, if not all, of these functionalities can be done only when the user selects a range of objects in his browser. The idea is to create an assistance for internet researchers. But unlike most of the other tools with the same name, it does not help in searching web. It is considered to help manage the results which you get by search engines when looking for a specific topic. [PART 1 - REQUIRED] 1. Formatting: this group lets the user change the formatting of the selection e.g. font, background, four-color. Also it lets him format the selection as imporant1 or important2 (see 5) 2. Linking: creates a link on the selection to a URL. 3. Annotation: lets the user make an annotation by himself either before or after the selection. Every annotation should have a collapse/expand mechanism which lets the user hide or show the notes. They should also be editable/removable thru a mechanism after insertion. Collapse All/Expand All should be implemented too. 4. Logging: lets the user append the selection to current open log file. If there is no log file currently open the user should be asked to open an existing html file or create a new one. The opened log file should be common between instances of browser as much as possible (like when you create a child window by pressing Ctrl+N) 5. Options: Preferences lets the user specify the definition of some HTML CLASSes which are used in other places. For example when you format a selection as IMPORTANT1 or IMORTANT2, you [probably] put the selection inside a and the definition of this class in terms of font, background, etc...is defined here. Also the log file entries are assigned to a specific class which is defined in preferences. Besides preferences, mechanisms like 'new log file' or 'open an existing log file' and 'show log file'(shows the content of the current log file in a new IE window) can be put here. The toolbar should also show the current log file name as a text label in an appropriate place. --------- It's not finished yet. Please see the attached zipped word document.
0) A very simple "text or visual? porotype" on the? design of the project in terms of GUI buttons/menus and what each of them is going to do. It's to be sure that we are going to the right way. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site).
