_Library Script in PHP/MySQL for Tapes, DVD's, etc. (Including Admin Interface)_
The user should be able to click on a link to request to borrow a tape. An email will be sent to a defined address or addresses notifying the librarian(s) that the tape is being requested. The librarian can then hit a "checkout'' button in the admin interface and enter the date the tape is expected back (pages updated accordingly). Under the same portion of the interface a reminder email date can be set - both the librarian(s) and borrower will be sent an email on that date reminding them to return the tape on the proper return date. If the tape is NOT returned when due, the librarian can flip an "overdue'' switch of some sort, at which point the system can begin tracking and calculating daily overdue fees (if any) and send email (say, every other day or so, perhaps definable) with the running total
and pestering the borrower to return the tape. These processes should probably not be automated, as a careless librarian could cause problems by forgetting to bring tapes when expected or forgetting to mark tapes as returned and automatically begin charging fees.
When I accept you as coder I will send you sketches about how the interfaces should look.
