I'm looking for a SELECT statment or some sort of a user defined function for MSSQL2K that will allow me to:
pass 2 parameters (delimeted list of keywords, column name) and to get a string returned with the found keyword(s) in column name highlighted (i.e - <b>keyword</b>).
I will pass:
"hello world" with the string: "good morning, what a wonderful world we're living in", I will get:
"good morning, what a wonderful <b>world</b> we're living in" (make sure you keep the same amount of spaces).
The function should allow to pass 2, 3.. N number of keywords that would be replaced. i.e, passing "we're living in" would give <b>we're</b> <b>living</b> <b>in</b> a wonderful world.
The column I want to make the replace on is a varchar(4000).
Obviouslly, we can make use of the normal REPLACE function with some kind of a loop, right?
