I need SQL 2000 Scripts to scramble table's fields.
I have a SQL 2000 database with 18 tables. The main table contains 18 columns. Among them the columns: Counselor, SocialSecurity, RecordNumber, MedicaidNumber, FirstName, and LastNameSN fields, etc. The remaining 17 tables contain a common field (RecordNumber).
I want to scramble the records (Counselor,SocialSecurity, RecordNumber, MedicaidNumber, FirstName, and LastNameSN) in the main table to create a parallel database with fake data.
The problem is that all tables are linked by the RecordNumber in a "One to Many" relationship. For example, if a RecordNumber is changed from 123456 to 562346 in the main table the corresponding record in the remaining 17 tables must be assigned the same number (562346).
The remaining 17 tables contain diferent data, that do not need to be scrambled. Just the RecordNumber.
The ideal solution should first switch all records and then scramble the data. For example:
Switching LastNames: John Doe to John Rodrigues. Sex Male
Switching SSNs: John Doe ssn 123-56-4567 to John Rodriguez ssn 874-32-9874. Sex Female
