I am importing ACT! data (dBase files) into Microsoft Access. The data I am importing has international characters in it.
The international (accented characters) are not coming across properly.
The first screenshot shows the Access data table.
As you can see in row 21, COMPANY ends with a chinese character (Albert-Ludwig-Universit舩)
This is not correct it should look like this -
However, If I copy the COMPANY data from the Access data table view and paste it into the Visual Basic Immediate Window it pastes correctly. (see 2nd screenshot).
Why is this happening? How can i get the data to appear correctly in the Access data table view?
I have attached a zip file that contains the screenshots as well as a Microsoft Access 2000 .mdb file that contains the data table.
I need either
A. An explanation of how to change the settings in Microsoft Access to properly display the characters.
