My website is primarily used for clients to visit to get easy access to projects I'm working on for them (mp3s. wav files etc). What i'm looking for is a 2 part system which will manage all aspects of this system. The web 'app' needs to do a few things. 1. Have an admin page where when I enter my admin login info it takes me to a 'setup' page. Here I can add/remove users (clients) and passwords for these accounts. I also want to be able to add and remove folders from this page. A fantastic feature for me here also would be to have an upload button that when clicked will open a window locally on my machine so I can search for the file(s) I want to upload for a particular client. This feature would allow me to upload my files on the site rather then having to get into an ftp program. I assume all accounts/passwords would be stored in a database. 2. The client aspect. Upon my splash page, the client enters their login/password and is taken to the correct folder/page (which I specify in the admin setup for their account). The whole concept is to ensure that clients don't have access to anything but their own work - ie. can't get into other clients folders. I think that explains it pretty well. 2.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Doesn't really matter to me so long as the interface is fast/efficient and is elegant in it's gui/layout. I've heard many people suggest PHP, but also just normal CGI scripts. Whatever works!
