Looking for some help in integrating the most recent Postie Wordpress plug-in ([url removed, login to view]) with the most recent release Wordpress MU. Postie was designed for Wordpress but I would like to make a couple modifications that make it work well for my multi-blog setup with Wordpress MU. I would like this to be a centrally managed plugin that is housed in the "mu-plugins" folder, and not a individually managed plug-in (so not the type that goes in the regular old "plugins" folder). I would like Postie to work with Wordpress MU in the following manner: 1. One central email that all bloggers send emails to. This already works on Postie when installed on a traditional Wordpress install, but the challenge is making this work on the Multi-User version. 2. Posts get posted to the individual blog that belongs to the sending email address. (e.g. email from bob's email address goes to Bob's blog). The current (Single blog) implementation of Postie has similar functionality. Currently it looks at the email sender and posts to the account that is tied with that email). In the final system, each user will only be allowed one blog, so no need to worry about tricky issues on that front. I would like this modification to work with no modifications to core Wordpress MU. Having looked at the code, I would gather that most of the work involves rewritting a couple MySQL queries and figuring out how to make this plugin work on Wordpress MU. I would like you to test your modifications before submissions to me. You can download WPMU and Postie for free.
