I am looking for a way to display Japanese kanji characters in Flash while keeping the Flash file size small. I currently know how to embed the Japanese characters into a .swf file so that people without the character set can view them, but embedding all the characters (over 7500) makes the .swf file large. Since I only pass in a few characters at a time into my flash application, ideally the individual kanji from the character set could be pulled in the same way, thus keeping loading time down. Maybe like having the whole set stored in a separate .swf file and being able to pull in individual characters as needed.
