I? have a client who has made 10 quicktime .mov movies that are each? 2 minutes long. I need a FLASH Player that can hold any of the movies.
There are button on the player like Play, Go to? Beginning and Pause/Stop.
The code behind the player can detect that the viewer has watched the entire movie. When the viewer has seen the movie, a button becomes enabled which allows him to watch the next movie. (see image called player)
I need a FLASH strip numbered one to ten to go on the main index page. This strip will show what movie the viewer has seen so that he can click on the next movie he needs to see. This is so that the viewer can leave the site and come back to the next movie he needs to fully see.
Here is my idea of how this would work.
A viewer would arrive at a page with the FLASH strip along the bottom of the page. Only the "1" button would be enabled. He clicks on it and is taken to a page with the 1 movie on it in the player. He watches the movie and when done, a cookie is created that? records that? he has watched the first movie to the end. The Next button becomes enabled and the viewer clicks on it which loads the second movie into the viewer. When he has fully viewed the movie the cookie is updated again and the Next button becomes enabled to move forward.
Let's say the viewer wants to leave the site after fully watching the third movie. When he returns, the cookie tells the page with the FLASH strip to enable all the buttons from 1 to 4. So the viewer would click the number 4 to move on and when done the viewer would enable the Next button and update the cookie.
I would imagine that an array could be created at the beginning so that new movies could be easily added or removed.
Project needs to be done or saved in FLASH 5.
The image called [url removed, login to view] shows that Movies 1 to 4 have been viewed and 5 is ready for action. These buttons are enabled and the grey buttons aren't.? The image called plyer is a rough draft of the player and something more professinal looking would be appreciated.
