What we need is to have a modification made to the JW FLV Media Player [url removed, login to view] to make an asynchronous SOAP call to an [url removed, login to view] web service to verify that the embedding site is authorized to embed our media.? So basically the player would need to determine the URL of the page it’s embedded in the ActionScript.? If it makes a difference we’d like the option to specify whether the player is embedded in an iframe or directly on the page mainly so that if we choose to embed through an iframe we want the URL of the parent page checked rather than our own page.? Then if the URL comes back as an unauthorized domain we would like to display a default media file notifying them that they are not authorized to embed our media.? We’d like the default unauthorized media file to be configurable through a flashvar.? Also we’d like to have an option to make a non-asynchronous SOAP call to report URLs for the purpose of tracking stats that way if we didn’t need to authorize a URL we wouldn’t have to incur the extra overhead.
