Oscommerce upgrade/redesign

Oscommerce upgrade, website redesign and inventory automation/database conversions. We are currently running a heavily modified version of Oscommerce 2.2 MS1. We are looking to upgrade to Oscommerce 2.2 MS2. What we are looking for in the upgrade- 1 Retain all existing functionality of the current Oscommerce package that is currently running on the website. Including any existing modules that have been configured and loaded. Some modules may have updates for MS2 some may have been coded directly into the MS2 software and some will need to be converted to the existing MS2 database and coding structure. 2 We would also like the option for customers to backorder products as well. This is in the current loaded MS1 as a module but is not working correctly. 3 Current user tracking options need to be retained. The Website redesign needs to include a updated user interface along with streamlined code. All pages including dynamic pages need to be search engine friendly. Load times for each page including dynamic pages need to load within a reasonable amount of time no longer then 8 seconds on a 56k connection. What we are looking for in the website redesign- We will provide a rough design on what we would like the website to look like and welcome any examples from the programmer prior to starting this portion- The interface should follow this layout- 1 Header section- Height no bigger then 150 pixels. Search box in the header. Company name in the upper left corner. There should also be a flash section or gif section for promos within the header as well as quick links for user accounts, shopping cart, and login/logout. Also there should be a dynamic dropdown menu along the bottom portion of the header horizontally that will populate the main menu tabs from the database as well as populating any sub-menus from the database as well. Categories in the database should have flags to turn on or off so we can choose what categories to display at any given time. The header section should also contain a image corresponding to the appropriate section that the customer is currently in and be color coded for that section. Each menu tab should have its own color code to correspond to the appropriate image. 2 Left menu- The left menu infoboxes should contain the same displays that are in the current website with the ability to add or remove them as needed. Also each infobox needs to be color coded to the appropriate section like the header display should be. 3 Right menu- Same as the left menu 4 Footer section- Should include copyright info, a keyword section and advertisement section. 5 Main content area should contain the appropriate infobox section or query information and any infoboxes should be color coded to the appropriate section that the customer is in. The database automation portion will include taking a flat text file converting it into a useable file that can be automated for importing into the Oscommerce database. The specific conversion information for this section will be provided to the programmer when this section is ready to be started. Using Microsoft Access, search for a flat file each day at a specified time at a certain location on the local harddrive. Import the file into access and populate the appropriate tables with the necessary information. This will include doing some data conversions. The main tables that will need to be updated each day are the product, manufacturer and category tables. 1 Price conversions will need to be performed. 2 All current products will need to be compared to the flat file and all non-matching records from the current database need to be flagged as discontinued and be displayed appropriately on the website. 3 Any non-matching records in the new flat file need to be flagged as new products and will need to be flagged appropriately. All new products should be flagged as new for 14 days. 4 Once all the data has been converted it should be setup so that it will update the Oscommerce database tables automatically at a given time each day. A working website should be provided by the programmer upon completion of each section of this project. First section should be the website upgrade with any modifications. Second section should be the website redesign. Third section should be the database automation and conversions. All source code and final version of the project will be provided by the programmer upon completion of project. Payment will be made using escrow account and finalized upon successful completion of project.
