I want to make a flash app that can play a sound record from file and display text comments in a textbox. Each comment is scheduled to be displayed during a particular time period of the sound play. A comment consists of the "body" text, shorter "title" text and the time interval. It should be possible to add/remove/edit comments and their associated time intervals. As a bonus, it would be nice to support exporting the comments info into a text script and importing it from a text script. The sound playback has to have the usual functionality - start, stop, pause, resume, scroll to particular time moment / second. When we scroll to a particular time moment, naturally we adjust the comment we are displaying to fit that time interval. The user interface is very simple - basically the sound playback controls, the comment display textbox, a listbox showing all comments in the current presentation by their title and time interval with the ability to jump to them and the associated moment of time in the sound recording, and the controls for managing/editing comments, i.e. probably a few buttons and another textbox. Since I am a programmer but inexperienced in Flash, I expect this project, in part, to serve to teach me how this sort of stuff is done. Hence, you should be ready to explain key points of the source code to me and help me setup the working environment so that I could further work on the code base myself. Also, if you do a good job for reasonable price, I have several other, more elaborate flash related projects in the pipeline. In particular, I am thinking of creating similar tools to add not just text comments but also picture and geometric sketch comments, but that's for the future.
