This project involves updating the navigation option of an existing Flash photo gallery that loads images using XML.
The current Flash XML gallery is a SWF file that is embedded in a HTML page of a web site. An example of the current gallery and screen shots of the requested updates/changes can be found at
<a href="[url removed, login to view]">[url removed, login to view]</a>
The objectives for the updated gallery are:
1. When the arrows next to thumbnails are hovered over, have thumbnails scroll left or right until mouse out.
2. Add a "Next" and "Previous" button to either side of the large image that allows user to go to next/previous photo without using the thumbnails. The "Next" and "Previous" should mantain their position as images resize (see screen shots 1 and 2 below swf for example); if possible, the "Previous" should be greyed out if on first photo and ditto for "Next"/last photo.
3. Some things to keep in mind when coding: I would like to have a variable that allows for adjusting the speed of the scrolling. I would like to have some flexibility to use different sized images (thumbnails and large photos), different "arrows" or "Next/Previous" buttons, etc. in the future. Along the same lines, the Actionscript should be well commented for future reference.
The source code (.fla, xml file etc.) will be provided after the acceptance of a bid.
Please note that I am using Flash MX 2004; be sure all files are compatible with this software version.
I would like a chance to review it, work with the updated gallery, and have one round of minor tweaks (if needed) prior final payment. I will set up 2 milestone payments to cover the initial coding and the minor revision phases.
