You will redesign an existing website to make it more visually appealing while keeping the page load times small. You will provide valid XHTML and CSS files that are easy to manipulate (e.g. done in a text editor, not Dreamweaver or any other WYSIWYG editor). You will provide 3 different mock-ups of the design. This can be as simple as a scanned image of what you drawn up by hand or something done digitally (PSD, PDF, etc.). The current main page is less than 100KB including HTML and graphics -- I would like to keep it close to this. Hi-res graphics of the logo and advertisement banner are available and will be provided to the winning bidder. Any additional graphics including titles, backgrounds, page dividers, etc. must be of your own work or purchased from a licensed retailer (and able to show proof of purchase). Two templates will be required: (1) main page (2) sub-pages. Some type of menu bar (vertical or horizontal - depending on your layout) is also required. This must be done using HTML or CSS and easily modifiable.
1) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Employer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the employer on the site per the worker's Worker Legal Agreement).
2) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
3) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Employer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Worker in ready-to-run condition in the Employer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the employer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this project.

Must be viewed properly in IE 7+, Firefox 3+, and Google Chrome. Optimization for mobile devices is not required since they are directed to another URL which is already optimized for Valid XHTML and CSS templates; one main page and one sub page. Any graphics or fonts used by the worker worker must be submitted with the deliverables.
