We are looking for someone to re-develop a tool that we had before our server crashed. Below is a breakdown of what the tool needs to do.
1. We receive email from a customer with a "Support Request"
2. We want to take said "email" and forward it to a separate mailbox (Currently on Google Apps)
3. The tool will the parse the mailbox and take the message out of there and do the following.
a. Strip out all information from the message that "I" am forwarding leaving only the original email (i.e. To, From, Subject, Body)
b. Forward the original email to our help desk system.
What this accomplishes for us is that our ticketing system will receive the email as our customer sent it to us. Thereby creating a ticket for the customer and emailing them back with a ticket #, etc.
Without this tool in place when we send emails to our support mailbox it creates tickets for us and not the customer.
