We need to develop a J2ME application that will be able to display the cell phone location (lattitude and longitude) based on Cell tower triangulation. (i.e., cell phones with no GPS device)
This is a demo application so, at this point in time, no need to send that information anywhere. We want to identify possible developers for future application in this are and will use this demo (which will be a paid work) to assess coders competency.
We are new into this area so we need the coder to provide as much information as possible about the approach he/she will take to develop it, including:
1) Which cellID database will be used.
2) What the prerequisites for the cell phone are (which libraries the cell phone must support, which MIDP, etc) - Including all details on in which type of equipment this application will work.
3) whether or not the Location API for J2ME will be used.
4) If a thrid party SDK will be used (if there is cost for that)
We would prefer to have this application developed using the LWUIT framework (for user interface). If the coder intends to develop it without using it, he/she should clear state that.
Thanks for looking and any input will be appreaciated.
