BlackBerry File Manager which can store metadata using BlackBerry Persistable INterface and PersistantStore. Typical workflow: Input: directory file path 1) list files in directory 2) for each file in files: 3) get metadata for file (can be that a new file has been manually put => OK, just no metadata, can be that files have been pulled => OK, just metadata in the store) 4) display metadata on screens Input: File URL just saved 1) Store metadata Hashtable associated with File URL Issue handling: you have a file with the name "X" that is then manually (outside the app) removed, so we have metadata remaining, and then at a later point app puts new file with same name "X", here metadata will just be overwritten (need to clear all metadata for "X" when "X" is newly created). Our Estimate (2 days): - Implement metadata storage: - 5h - Implement persistant storage manager - 3h - Search files by metadata - 4h - Implement file class (incapsulation of file data and metadata, various file operations) - 4h - Write unit tests
