I need someone to program a floating shopping cart box for an oscommerce site.

Just like in that contribution, you will need to make sure that when people click "add to cart", the page should not go to the shopping cart or refresh - the item needs to be instantly added to the cart and the displayed number of items in the cart should visibly change. The box should basically have this text:
Now in your cart: 4 items
Go to Cart
The number next to "Now in your cart" should change when someone adds an item to cart. For example, if I were to add something to the cart in the example above, it would change to Now in your cart: 5 items. Or if I added a quantity of two, it would change to 6 items, etc.
Remember, this needs to work with the above referenced contribution currently installed on our website. Currently, the shopping cart is at the top of the page, so when people scroll down, they cannot see it anymore - this is why we want the floating cart. However, we still want to keep the cart at the top - we don't want to remove it. We just want to add this floating cart on the left side. It needs to be aligned near the bottom (maybe 100-200px above the bottom) of the left column. We need to able to adjust this position via css. It needs to move down in the same position as a person scrolls down.
For a very good example of how we want the floating box to function, see here: [url removed, login to view]
