I need somone to demonstrate the use of the Crystal Reports "ReportViewer" bean from a desktop Java Swing application. Crystal Reports provides a few examples but the documentation to set them is extremely cryptic. I figure it is easier for me to find somone else already familiar with java and crystal reports to learn from. I am looking for a Java Swing example that displays a Crystal Reports file in a swing window using the report viewer bean provided with crystal reports XI. It can use some simple data from a MySQL table as well as a parameter to narrow down the query. I am open to any suggestions or questions as to narrow this down. if possible, it would be preferred that the end example be written using netbeans (as that is what i use) but i am open to straight java source as long as you can provide me with a compiled .jar file so that i know that it does indeed work. (and with the source i would like any dependent jar files that are required for it to compile and run). Your help would be greatly appreciated.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
This should be able to run on linux and windows, since this is Java i dont see that as a problem.
