My partner and I are home bound mothers who want to start an internet business. You may be laughing at this but we are serious. We would like to start an auction site. We both have a semester of Java and a semester of Access so we know we are in over our heads. We have been working on it and I have attached what we have done so far. We may, and probably will eventually, hire someone to do the entire site but for now we just want a piece of it done to evaluate how much time and money and expertise will be needed. From what I'm told, this should be doable in a week and sent to me by **Nov. 18, 2003**.
Not being a techie I may not state what I need very clearly but here goes: I have an Auction_Detail table (see attached file). Based upon a book I'm reading (but that doesn't clearly explain how to do it),I want manual participation (without prior signup). You'll see the field manual_bid_amount which should be filled in instead of agent_id. Another part is the auction end (notifications) in which all buyers who set up an agent will be notified about the outcome of the auction (see winner field in Auction_Detail table).
We have loaded TomCat, MS Access , JDK on our machines. We have been playing around with JSP, Java Servlets. A friend of ours did some of that but it's beyond his ability. But these are the software we want to use for this portion of the project. Once this part of the project is done we can discuss other options if you believe we should consider differently.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) ???? DO I need to have bidder give me this????Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site).
I don't know if this is where it goes:
