I have a project which should use the [url removed, login to view] (new to Java 1.4) method of getting and setting preferences. However, this is a little confusing to me. I'd like someone to illustrate the use of the [url removed, login to view] class by helping to write the Preferences module for an open source project ([url removed, login to view]). The class should read in any preferences the user has set on startup. The class should have get methods which should immediately return the current value from the preferences storage, and set methods which should immediately write the current value to the preferences storage. It's really that simple!
1) Complete and fully-functional java source code for the Preferences class that will work with the rest of the Gutenreader code. 2) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
This should work on Linux, Windows, and Macintosh, but it's not crucial that it be tested on all these platforms. If no OS dependent code is written, this will automatically work on all these OSes. :)
