Add an IM in my community

A - See a list of the friends that are on line (you can find each user friends in my DB table)... and chat with each user B - See a counter (with a red counter over the notification image, when you receive messages from other users) C - With 3 options: - Open Chat - Settings - My state In the settings area I would like to set: Log: for allow the user to decide if save the logs of each chat Sound: for activate/deactivate the sounds when I receive a message Set the state (using the same ajax combobox and message viewed: on line, off line, busy) In chat area you can open a popup (like facebook) with the chat (Istant Message for single user) ## Deliverables I've a web site created using a third part script I don't like the messenger system of this script and I would to change it creating an ajax Istant Messanger (1to1 messanger) I like to solution used in facebook and I would like to create a solution like this. Iin the right side of the down bar you can see 3 button for manage friends and messanger... I like this ... I don't want problem with popup or others blocker. The chat window will be the same functionality ("same" layout) and same functionality (link for close the windows, links to settings and my state in the right area, list of friends in the right area... ) I can chat with friends and with other users (not my friends): NOW in my web site: you can see a list of registered users when you select a user you can see the informations of the user in the right area you see a list of options and clicking on "chat" you open an instant message with the user (if the user is on line) WHAT I WANT: when I click on "chat" open the chat system (in a new window), for chat with the user ... and for see other friends on line (the friends of the user logged in) .... without message of Internet Explorer or problem with popup blocked ... I like this ... I don't want problem with blocker you can chat with ALL users (on line) selected the link "chat" in the list of the users registered in the site, but in the chat window you will see only the friends on line (in the right area) when a user (logged-in) receive an instant message, the user see an ajax modal popup (not browser popup) in my website page, that inform the new message from XXX (and see a small counter, in a red box, over the "notifications" image ... as you can see in others IM: badoo, netlog, facebook).... and clicking on a link you can open the external windows (without popup blocker problem) for chat with the users .... and for see the "friends" LOG all messages (external text file to place in specifie folder that I will send you) Thanks
