I have some coaching and self-help concepts I would like to test through a web site. Although I have a good idea of what will be covered and how it will be covered, there are still a lot of ideas that will need to be developed further during the project. For this reason, I cannot provide at the beginning of the project a clear view of what the architecture will be. It is "research in progress".
That site will be developed with Ruby on Rails because that's the only knowledge I have in web development. I choose to learn that one because I want to leave the technical aspects of development as low as possible so I can concentrate on testing and developing the self-help concepts I have in mind (my real field of expertise).
What I need is the help of a developer with good expertise in RoR. This developer will help me develop the site by doing code where I cannot do it by myself and by providing me coaching for portions of the development I can handle by myself. My goal is to learn as much as possible in that process so I can freely test the new concepts whenever I need it.
I'm looking for a mix of delivered working code, documentation, suggestions and coaching. Good written communications skills are then very important (could be either in English or French). I'm also looking for creativity, broad knowledge of web development, good capacity to think out of the box and to solve tough technical problems on what will eventually become a very dynamic web site.
This is a time based proposal. I guess there will be many hours from the developer part during the first week (or weeks) then it will probably fall back to just a few hours per week while I experiment, test, digest the new information and prepare the next set of schemas to describe the next step I have in mind.
