Custom PHP Script for Bespoke Intranet Booking System

Stansted Laboratories Information Management System (SLIMS) is a bespoke intranet based LIMS system, which provides booking in and job management facilities for lab technicians. The system is hosted on an internal server and is built in PHP using a MySQL database. We require additional functionality, specifically for the booking in procedure, which is outlined in detail in the attachments provided. The ‘booking in’ process allows staff members to initiate jobs within the system, add samples and define analysis. This area will be the focus of the project. The current process allows users to add samples in bulk, however users have to open each sample individually and assign analysis within. This is a tedious process for jobs with large quantities of samples, all with the same analysis requirements. What is Required: • A PHP Script that will allow a user to add a specified number of samples of a given sampletype and specify the tests that will apply to all result entries that are created. • This may be achieved using AJAX functionality if appropriate. Please refer to all attachments provided for an exact insight into how the system functions including relavent database schema. Sample Data will be provided to successful bidder for development purposes.
