Part I : PHP Based Automated Fax Indexing Using Dynamic Barcode
Labeling of Dynamically Cover Page. Creation of skeleton records in MySQL tables with an empty value for the PDF fax document and indexed with ORDER ID column.
Part II : Recognition of Order ID upon Return Transmission of “Paper Real Estate Forms” and the Barcode Embedded Cover Page. Update MySQL tables with the PDF fax document(s) to the order ID and eventually customer ID.
ADDITIONAL SECONDARY REQUIREMENTS
1. Provide the same service to those sending the barcode tagged Cover Page and real estate paper forms scanned and sent by e-mail rather than by mail.
2. Using iFax PHP Module for extraction of other fields – Example: Inclusion of Checkbox list with Yes/No next to the name of each real estate form the customer has indicated they are including in the corresponding return fax.
NOTE: This project uses a free php plug-in called i-Fax. However, i-Fax requires an additional commercial internet fax service they offer. Via our fax number, customers send in the commercial paper based faxes to i-Fax server which stores them. We initiate a process on our side such as crontab to call a specific PHP script that “polls” the i-Fax server via an API call to them. We then simply use an implementation of other API calls to retrieve the wrapped PDF fax image (in base64 encoding ) and other meta-info about the fax.

i-Fax – Pre-Indexed Internet Fax Capture. I-FAX is a fax / software plug-in needing
access to the i-Fax remote web servers. We use i-Fax as an API and server product
that is remote to our system. i-Fax is not a required skill but PHP coding and good practices are expected.
