I have built a simple firefox extension which you can download from here: [url removed, login to view] The only thing it does is that it adds a toolbar with an input box and a button. The input box sends a phone number to [url removed, login to view] and the result is returned. What I want from a more experienced firefox extensions developer is to make it appear besides normal buttons and not on its own toolbar and also to be able the user to move it to any place of the toolbars he wants (via the customize button). The input box and the button should be placed automatically on the toolbar upon installation and should remember user position after firefox restarting if position changes. You have to make sure it works on firefox 1.5 to 2.0.0.* and on all platforms (windows, linux etc.).
