We are looking for an individual or small team that wants to flex their skills on a fun and challenging project. We are building a small self-contained website that combines social networking and API interfaces to Google Maps and Flickr into a unique and hopefully quite popular formula.
We are a software architect and a web designer who are looking to outsource the coding behind this project.
We are open to suggestion on platform, but prefer an open-source solution. Ruby on Rails makes a lot of sense, as does the LAMP stack.
proven AJAX experience is a must for this project.
This project will be reasonably database-heavy and requires a very competent database designer who is fluent in query optimization.
Standards-based coding is a must and we will request twice-weekly code review. You will receive an excellent and complete spec before we will finalize the bid.
Post a bid for one man month. Also post code samples and post your ongoing billing rate. We're looking for a long-term relationship with a talented programmer. We are used to working with overseas/offshore programmers. Good English is also a must.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
