I need a PHP function that will generate a Google Map based on a list of locations supplied by MySQL query. This will be used to plot a range of locations for which we have photography-related "hints & tips" and then show these hints & tips when a location is selected.
The table of locations (already existing as a mysql table) includes the following fields:
ID (Auto Increment, Primary Key)
State (QLD, NSW, VIC, etc... Australian states)
General Location (e.g. "Sydney City")
Specific Location (e.g. "The Rocks")
Latitude (e.g. [url removed, login to view])
Longitude (e.g. 151.207114)
Tip Title (e.g. "Bright overcast")
Tip (e.g. "Bright overcast weather is perfect for photographing buildings that would normally be in deep shadow on a bright sunny day.")
Tip Code (e.g. "NSW0001", identifies the associated JPG)
The mysql table and associated JPGs will be supplied for development purposes.
The PHP function would run a query based on which State has been selected in $_GET['state'] and generate a Google Map of pins for all the locations listed in that state (note: there are some cases where there is more than one tip per specific location).
When the user clicks on a pin there should be a Google Map info window (multiple-tabs if there is more than one tip for the selected location). There will be: a JPG of up to 150x150 pixels (based on the Tip Code), the Tip Title (in bold) and the Tip itself.
I would prefer it that the content for the info windows be supplied via AJAX as needed.
When bidding, please send me a message showing me work you've done with Google Maps.
